Stormy week ahead

TODAY: After a stray rain shower or two hits the region for the morning, isolated groups of thunderstorms will hit the Upper Snake River Plain, far east ID, SE ID, and western WY in the afternoon hours.  The rest of the region will look to stay mostly dry with partly to mostly cloudy conditions.  Winds will be a little breezy overall between 10-15 mph, but storms could carry greater wind gusts up to 45 mph.  High temperatures get into the upper 80's to upper 90's.

TOMORROW: More isolated thunderstorms come on through, this time targeting more towards the southern highlands and SE ID.  The rest of the region will only have about a 20% chance at seeing a stray shower or two.  Winds will be fairly light overall between 5-15 mph, but storms could have good wind gusts up to 45 mph.  High temperatures slightly decrease by a few degrees into the mid 80's to low 90's.

LONG TERM: Scattered and widespread rain showers and thunderstorms will fill the entire region for both Wednesday and Thursday.  Isolated rounds of rain showers continue into Friday and all the way into this weekend possibly too.  Conditions look to dry up slightly heading into next work week.  Winds will be a little breezy throughout the whole week with strong wind gusts underneath storms.  High temperatures drop a lot heading into the middle of the week.  By Thursday, high's are down to the low to upper 70's for everyone.  High's then slightly increase for the rest of the week into next weekend with temperatures into the upper 70's to mid 80's for Sunday.
