Heat warnings for the weekend

Today will continue to bring the heat.  Temps will jump back to the lower to mid 90s, with a chance of afternoon storms and winds gusting to 20+ at times.  This heat dome takes over the weekend and into Monday putting some in our area to the south under and Extreme Heat warning and a Heat advisory for the Snake River Plain outside of Utah state line counties in Idaho. These advisories are in effect beginning Saturday at noon, however, conditions warrant your attention before then to remains safe.   Temps will be around 100 to 103 and it is advised that you take precautions to protect your family and pets and keep watch for dangerous heat and fire conditions.  Hydrate, Find cool places to take shelter, wear hats, light colored clothing, sunscreen, take breaks from the outdoors, check on neighbors, watch your kids, don't leave anything in the car or truck , make sure sure your vehicle is comfortable and can run in hot conditions and be careful around water, canals, pools, wand watch for signs of heat illness.
