Idaho school psychologists honored during National School Psychology Week
BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) – The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), in partnership with Idaho School Psychologists Association (ISPA), has announced this week to be National School Psychology Week (NSPW).
This year’s theme, “Let’s Grow Together,” is inspired by the importance of growth as individuals and as school communities. It was chosen to highlight the work that school psychologists do daily, and how that work contributes to creating an effective learning environment.
To recognize the week, school psychologists and educators across Idaho are encouraged to join their peers nationwide in adapting resources and activities provided by NASP to share how students can grow, both together and as individuals. Resources include posters, suggested activities, information on an advocacy action day and more.
“Our students deserve an educational experience that furthers their development into healthy, happy, productive adults, and our school psychologists support this experience during the school day,” Superintendent of Public Instruction Debbie Critchfield said. “I’m so glad to join the Idaho School Psychologists Association to highlight this important and appreciated work.”
