Early morning fire in Shelley leaves one man in the hospital

SHELLEY, Idaho (KIFI) - The Shelley-Firth Fire department responded to a structure fire at 1350 E. Greenfield in Shelley this morning just before 6 a.m. Viewers report seeing the flames at Greenfield Acres.

A trailer home was on fire. Five to six trucks responded during our live coverage.  Rocky Mountain Power was called as a precaution to shut off utilities.

Flames witnessed from adjoining neighbors with these pictures sent to us.  Neighbors report the male resident was asleep when the fire started. He was able to escape from the burning mobile home with help from a neighbor. The resident is now in the hospital.

The fire was put out by 7 a.m.
