The Bonneville County sheriff’s office has released the names of the two couples killed in a plane crash Sunday.
Jerry “David” Anderson, 40, the pilot of the plane, and his wife Jessica Ann Anderson, 38, were killed. Thomas “Brook” Summers, 39, and his wife Heidi Summers, 36, were also killed in the crash.
The Anderson’s have three children. David worked for Anderson Hitches in Idaho Falls.
The Summers’ have four children. Brook was a dentist at Family Dental Health Center in Idaho Falls.
Bonneville County Sheriff office said the airplane was a 4 passenger, 1958 Cessna, 182A, single engine, fixed wing.
The plane left the Alpine, Wyoming airport in the early morning hours Sunday and crashed shortly after take off. It crashed about a mile from the airport, they reported.
Duane Yost, a co-worker with David Anderson at Andersen Manufacturing said, “Dave was a phenomenal guy. He lived for his family. This is a real tragedy.”
Co-workers of Brook Summers said in a statement, “Brook and Heidi were loved by all and will be deeply missed by their family, friends, patients and the staff of the Family Dental Health Center.”
Ryan Andersen, president of Andersen manufacturing knew both families. Interestingly, Ryan and David are not related, just have the same last name. The Summers were neighbors and lived across the street from him.
Ryan said, “Dave was a great employee. We loved him. Our families were best friends and did lots of fun things together. Dave was family oriented and always wanted to be with his kids and his wife.”
“The Summers were great neighbors. They would do anything for you. Our kids are best friends. It’s a great loss to lose four great friends,” said Ryan.
This is the fourth plane accident to happen in the Alpine area since August 2015.
The NTSB is now investigating the accident.
