Free drive-thru flu clinic Saturday

KIFI

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) – The Idaho Immunization Coalition is partnering with the Idaho State University L. S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy and Southeastern Idaho Public Health to host an upcoming drive-thru flu vaccine clinic, to help the community prepare for the fall and winter seasons.

The clinic will be Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center in Pocatello.

Anyone is welcome to attend, and vaccines will be available at no cost and insurance will be billed when applicable.

ISU pharmacy students and bi-lingual medical experts will be on hand to distribute the vaccines, answer immunization questions, and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience from the comfort of your vehicle.

“As the fall quickly approaches and we start to re-enter our school-year routines, it is time again to prioritize our health. The IIC and our wonderful partners are proud to offer a one-stop shop for you and your family to get your seasonal vaccines,” Idaho Immunization Coalition executive director Karen Sharpnack said. “This drive-thru clinic will be fast and efficient, making it an easy way to get the protection you need. Anyone and everyone are welcome!”

The flu vaccine will be available for anyone six months through adults, and all adults who receive the flu vaccine will receive a $25 gift card, while supplies last. Please wear a short-sleeved or loose-fitting shirt and bring your vaccine card if you plan to be immunized.
