New businesses in Ammon already seeing success

AMMON, Idaho (KIFI) – East Idaho is growing, and with that comes three new businesses bringing more flavor to Ammon; Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, Marco's Pizza and Nothing Bundt Cakes.

These three eateries all opened this summer and have already received so much excitement and support from the community.

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop

If you're looking for a quality sandwich for your lunch hour, Capriotti's may be a great place to satisfy your craving.

Since May, they have been serving hot and cold sandwiches made to order, soups, salads, sandwich fries and desserts throughout the area.

Franchise Owners Ruffin and Shannielle Baird fell in love with the family-friendly franchise and noticed the need to bring the sandwich shop to Eastern Idaho. Ruffin says, "Customers that knew of us before were itching to get in... There's definitely a fan base for Capriotti's."

The Baird's say what sets Capriotti's apart is their oven roasted turkeys. "It takes about 12 or so hours to do (roast) it overnight, and then we hand shred them every morning to have the highest quality turkey."

Capriotti's has a local tie too. All their roast beef, including stores nationwide, comes straight from Snake River Farms outside of Blackfoot.

You can find the sandwich shop at 2565 E 17th St. They are open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday they are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Marco's Pizza

A popular, classic Italian recipe made its way to East Idaho with the opening of Marco's Pizza.

Marco's serves wings, desserts and of course, many varieties of pizza.

Rigby local Bill Smith, and his wife Tamarah, decided to bring this pizza joint to Ammon after tasting the incredible pizza. Bill says, "The dough, I feel, really sets us apart. The dough and the cheese." He felt there was a need for locals to experience what Marco's has to offer.

Since opening at the beginning of June, Bill says the community has been so supportive. "With a new franchise," he says, "we're always a little nervous about that. But everybody has been super receptive."

Marco's is the 8th fastest growing pizza chain in the U.S. It is known for generous portions and fresh ingredients.

What started with one pizza place near Toledo, Ohio has grown to well over 1,100 locations across the nation.

You can find Marco's Pizza in Ammon on 2729 E Sunnyside Rd. Sunday through Thursday they are open late from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays they are open even longer from 11 a.m to 12 a.m., one of few restaurants in the area open that late.

Nothing Bundt Cakes

It's always a good idea to end your day on a sweet note, and Nothing Bundt Cakes can help.

Nothing Bundt Cakes opened their doors in Ammon with a purpose to spread joy and yummy cakes throughout the community. This is only the second location in Idaho.

The cake shop is famously known for their signature cream cheese frosting and moist bundts served in many different sizes – from small, bite size Bundtinis, to single serving Bundlets, to standard-sized Bundt Cakes and even Tiered Bundt Cakes. Each cake is handcrafted in the bakery.

They offer nine classic flavors year round – Red velvet, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Raspberry, Lemon, Strawberries & Cream, Snickerdoodle, Confetti, Carrot and Classic Vanilla – plus some seasonal flavors that rotate throughout the year.
