Idahoans make less than average US wage
For every dollar the average American makes, the average worker in the Gem State make 84 cents, the Idaho Department of Labor said Thursday.
Estimates put the average hourly wage for all occupations statewide around $18.50. That ranks Idaho 45th in the country.
The new statistics for 2012 are down slightly from 2011, when Idahoans made about 85 percent of the national average wage.
Boise workers made the highest average wage last year.
