Fallen officers honored in Idaho Falls

Law enforcement officers gathered in Idaho Falls on Monday night to honor fallen officers.

There was a reading of the names of officers who died in the line of duty, and candles that bore the names of the fallen were lit. The officers’ names were also read.

“We want to make sure that we don’t forget those people,” said Bonneville County Sheriff Paul Wilde. “They put forth a great effort to make sure their communities were safer, so it is our way to honor them in memorial of their work and their duty that they carried out so graciously to protect everyone.”

Other communities will be remembering fallen officers all week long.
