Business Watch: Candy Junction

A new candy store in Idaho Falls is aiming to bring back some childhood memories.

Daryl Dutenhoeffer and his wife, Wendy, own Candy Junction.

The store features 42 different flavors of taffy, a variety of jelly beans, Pixie Stix and even wax lips. Daryl said he’s asking customers about candies they remember so he can try to order the nostalgic sweets into the store.

How did the idea for a store come about?

“It’s kind of an adventure that my wife and I wanted to take, took early retirement and stuff like that and we just thought to do things different for a change,” he said.

Candy Junction is at 630 W. Broadway. It is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed Sundays.
