Drowsiness leads to crash on I-15
Three people are recovering after a rollover crash just north of Idaho Falls on Friday morning.
It happened just after 1 a.m. on Interstate 15.
Idaho State Police said the driver, Jeffrey Daffern, 20 of Lake Point, Utah, 20, was headed south when he fell asleep. He woke up when his truck hit a rumble strip.
He overcorrected, and his pickup rolled over.
Daffern was wearing his seat belt and remained inside the pickup. The other two were not, police said, and were thrown from the truck. One of the passengers was sleeping in the bed of the truck.
All three people were taken to the hospital.
