Jefferson County OKs drought resolution

Despite the recent rain, Jefferson County commissioners passed an emergency drought resolution Tuesday.

The resolution won’t affect homeowners and the way they consume water. It will just allow water users to more easily file drought emergency transfer applications if their supply is running low.

The resolution still needs final approval from Gov. Otter and the Department of Water Resources.

Fremont and Clark counties have passed similar resolutions.
