State Police seize $4K of meth in traffic stop

A traffic stop in Power County resulted in the seizure of thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine, Idaho State Police said Wednesday.

The ISP stopped a vehicle on Interstate 86 west of American Falls on Saturday.

Charles McVey, 25, of Fresno, Calif., was arrested for trafficking methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without privileges. The passenger, Michael Medina, 26, of Colstrip, Mont., was also arrested for trafficking methamphetamine, resisting and obstructing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.

About a quarter pound of methamphetamine was seized, with a street value of $4,000.

The pair were incarcerated at the Power County Jail.
