Business Watch: Thor’s Ice Cream
College students on a budget have a new place to go for a cool treat this summer.
You can find Thor’s Ice Cream on Main Street in Rexburg.
Thor’s charges $1.25 for a scoop of Reed’s Dairy ice cream.
It’s owned by six partners who also manage other businesses. Owners maintain a simple business model and design for the shop so prices can stay low.
Thor’s opened last August, so they’re gearing up for their first full summer with some new things in store, like new ice cream flavors and different types of waffle cones, which they make from scratch.
Thor’s gets its name from the old mascot for Rick’s College.
