Local business gets recognition for Rat Rod
Car enthusiasts are talking about a truck built right here in Eastern Idaho. It’s called a rat rod and it was built in Rexburg.
It took over 1,000 man-hours to build. Parley Valora, vice president of Premier Performance explains what a rat rod is,” Take an old vehicle and basically use the shell of it and re-build the motor and or install a new motor into it that is much better then what was originally in that vehicle.”
It took only seven months to build, and was recently showcased in Las Vegas, at the Specialty Equipment Market Association or also known as SEMA.
They are already in works on a new project; they just haven’t let the rat out of the bag.
Parley Valora, vice president of Premier Performance, says, “Once you start down this road of building vehicles and stuff of this caliber our customers come to expect it. They are looking forward to what’s Premier going to do next. And so we know we have something to live up to we just not quite sure what it is.”
