470 turkeys needed for local families

JNL Family Crisis Center is currently behind in its efforts to “Fill the Bus with Thanksgiving” for families of the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25.

The company’s goal is to have enough meals to feed 500 families, and currently they only have 30 turkeys in their freezers.

JNL Family Crisis Center reports they also have just 200 dozen rolls, 3 pies and gravy, stuffing and veggies for only 80 families filled.

The company estimates the amount of money they need to fill the orders is $27,000 not including the marketing and supplies for the program.

The crisis center’s last big push for donations is Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Smith’s parking lot. They ask you please bring anything you have to help.

Their final deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 21 and will be passing out these boxes to families starting at 3:30 p.m. at Phil Meador Subaru.
