Pocatello highlights its achievements from 2024

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) – The Pocatello City Council is looking back at 2024 Thursday night.

The city leaders are looking at some of their biggest accomplishments.

It was part of the annual State of the City presentation.

Leaders from each city department presented their biggest achievements from the past year.

Achievements such as the purchase of the Western Recycling Center, the installation of the Con Gilmore pickleball courts in Ross Park, and a record-breaking summer reading program at the Marshall Public Library.

City councilwoman and acting mayor at tonight's meeting, Linda Leeuwrik, said it feels good to review the year's completed projects.

"To really look back at all of it and see how much our staff have done, and to see all these things come to fruition. It is truly exciting," said Leeuwrik.

Leeuwrik was 'acting mayor' because Mayor Brian Blad was still on vacation.
