University of Wyoming president finalists to visit campus
CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The search for the University of Wyoming's next president has narrowed to three finalists, all of whom are expected to visit the campus next week, a university spokesman said Monday.
The finalists' names will likely be announced soon, said spokesman Chad Baldwin. The only publicly known candidate is acting UW president Neil Theobold, the Casper Star-Tribune reported.
Theobold was named acting president after Laurie Nichols' contract wasn't renewed last year.
The details of the visits are not final, but the plan is for the candidates to attend events with students, faculty and staff Baldwin said.
The school's board of trustees will conduct interviews with the finalists at the end of the month, with a decision possible by the first week of March, he said.
