Early voting ends May 17, absentee ballots must be returned by May 21
BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) – Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane reminds voters completed absentee ballots for the May 21 Primary Election must be returned to County Clerk Election offices or to an official Elections ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day, May 21 to be counted.
Of the 67,255 absentee ballots issued statewide, 31,268 have been returned to county elections offices, with a return rate of 46.5%. Completed ballots must be returned to county elections offices by mail, in person, or in an official ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Early voting will be available until Friday, May 17 in every county that is conducting early voting.
Important dates and deadlines for the May 21Â election
- Early Voting (where applicable): Now through Friday, May 17 5:00 p.m.
- Election Day: Tuesday, May 21 8:00 a.m .to 8:00 p.m.
- Absentee Ballots Due: Tuesday, May 21 8:00 p.m.
The Idaho Primary Election will include races for United States Representative, State Senate, State House of Representatives, County Commissioner, County Sheriff, County Prosecuting Attorney, Judges, and other local races and measures.
