Berger family gets ready for the 1st annual Berger Bowl between Skyline and Thunder Ridge

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - A brand new rivalry with family ties begins Friday night, as Scott Berger and the Skyline Grizzlies take on Michael Berger and the Thunder Ridge Titans.

This game is a special occasion for the Berger family, as father and son face off on the gridiron. Relatives are flying in from Minnesota, and both Scott and Michael are looking forward to the start of a fun annual rivalry.

"I think we're trying to make it a special occasion," Michael Berger said. "Of course we want to win the game. But this is really a cool experience for our family, and we want to soak it in and enjoy the moment of it."

"He went into it this week and he said, 'Dad, let's not make this weird,'" Scott Berger said. "And I said, 'no, I'm not going to do that,' and of course, I want to win the game, and I'm sure he wants to win the game."

Friday night's game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. at Thunder Ridge Stadium.
