Sports Line Game of the Week Preview: Century Diamondbacks vs. Sugar-Salem Diggers

SUGAR CITY, Idaho (KIFI) - Friday night in Sugar City, Century and Sugar-Salem square off in the first Sports Line Game of the Week in the 2023 high school football season.

It's a Week 0 non-conference battle between two squads that haven't faced each other in almost three years, when Sugar-Salem won 13-7 in overtime on Aug. 28, 2020.

The Diggers enter this season defending another 3A state championship, their fourth in five years, while the Diamondbacks are trying to rebuild success following a 1-7 campaign in 2022.

It's the only matchup this week featuring two East Idaho teams, and kickoff between Century and Sugar-Salem is set for 7:00 p.m.
