Warm up begins

A few backspin showers leave us as they skid out from the eastern highlands and cnetrla mountains today as we usher more heat and brighter skies in for the rest of the week. Highs will jump from the low 70's yesterday to low 80's today and winds SW 5-15+ for a better day today. Winds will pick up with another ridge over us into tomorrow and there will be a slight shower risk in the hills starting the afternoon as the trough leaves. Temps will gather some consistency and while still in the mid 80's, are slightly below normal for mid-August. There will be times of clouds mixed with sun as winds pick up into later today and Thursday and Friday, and breezes may feel good as we take highs into the upper 80's. With clearer skies, there may be some wildfire haze in the atmosphere, if you are sensitive to those particles.

It will remain dry and windy and warmer into the weekend 80's during the day and 50/60's at night.
