Normal temperatures for mid-May with breezy winds

We have a zonal flow with our jet stream, that keeps our weather pattern breezy with mainly sunny skies for Friday. For Thursday night, we’ll see clear and breezy conditions with a low temperature in the upper 30’s for the Snake River Plain. Winds will be out of the southwest around 15-25 mph.

Sunny and breezy for Friday, with high temperatures reaching the upper 60’s and lower 70’s. These temperatures are normal for mid-May. Winds will drive in from the west and southwest around 15-25 mph. Wind gusts will be as high as 35 mph.

This weekend we’ll see low pressure working out of the north, which will lower temperatures. We also could see scattered rain and snow for Sunday and Monday.

Increasing clouds through our Saturday, with high temperatures cooler into the lower 60’s. Breezy, with a southwest wind of 15 to 25 mph for the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

Sunday, there is a chance of rain and snow showers between noon and 3pm, then a chance of rain showers after 3pm. Some thunder is also possible for the afternoon. High temperatures will drop to the upper 40’s and lower 50’s. The Chance of precipitation is 30%, with little or no snow accumulation expected. More scattered rain and snow is possible for late Sunday night and early Monday, with a freezing low temperature in the lower 30’s.

There is a chance of snow for Monday morning, with scattered rain in the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the lower 50’s.
