46 homes lost to Roosevelt fire so far
Thursday morning update: After a meeting Wednesday night at the Daniel School House it was confirmed 46 homes have been lost.
US 189/191 remains closed until burnout and general firefighting activities on the Roosevelt fire are safe.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation plans to keep US 189/191 closed until burnout and general firefighting activities on the Roosevelt fire are safe.
The US Forest Service has confirmed that 25 structures have been destroyed by the fire. Damage assessments will continue today in Hoback Ranches. 22 homes, among 153 within the ranches, have been destroyed. 50 of them have been assessed by the Sheriff’s Office so far. Property owners will be notified by the Sheriff’s Office as that process continues.
Power has been shut off to Kendall Valley/ Upper Green for the safety of firefighters. It will be restored as soon as possible, but officials say that could be as late as Thursday night.
A public meeting is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Daniel School House. It will be live-streamed on the Bridger-Teton National Forest Facebook page.
At this point, the Bondurant community is on “set” stage for potential evacuation.
As of Wednesday morning, there are 982 fire fighting personnel on the fire. It was last estimated at 50,586 acres and 30 percent contained.
There was low fire activity Tuesday and no additional spread to the south, southeast, and west. The fire did not move towards Jim Bridger Estates. Firefighters were able to secure some homes in the Hoback Ranches.
