Locals protest against Kavanaugh nomination
Some people in Idaho Falls gathered today to protest U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s possible confirmation.
Protestors held signs along the Broadway bridge in Idaho Falls. They said they are protesting Kavanuagh’s moral character and said there are plenty of other judges who would be better. They also said they were showing that they care about women and hold public servants to a higher standard.
“Twenty years ago we were willing to impeach a sitting president over his character, over a matter of character, let’s be honest it’s matter of character,” said Miranda Marquit, an Idaho Falls Progressives Advisory Board member. “And today we don’t blink at all about appointing somebody to a lifelong position when there are questions about his character.”
The FBI investigation for Kavanuagh is expected to wrap-up today. The final report will not be made public.
