Spots available at 2023 Idaho Family & Community Engagement Conference
BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) – There are still limited seats available for educators interested in attending the 2023 Family & Community Engagement (FACE) Conference.
Attendees will explore ways to increase participation and communication between families, schools and communities at their choice of two events in Boise or Coeur d’Alene.
There are approximately 25 spots left at the Boise event and 20 spots left at the Coeur d’Alene event.
“I hope anyone interested in joining us at this year’s conference will secure their place as soon as possible,” Superintendent of Public Instruction Debbie Critchfield said. “This is such a great opportunity for us to come together to focus on a common goal of creating the connections that hold our educational communities together, and I hope you’ll consider bringing your voice to the table.”
This year’s conference features a two-day event at the Boise Centre on Nov. 1 – 3 and a single-day event at the Coeur d’Alene Resort in Coeur d’Alene on Nov. 13. The cost for the Boise event is $150 and the cost for the Coeur d’Alene event is $50. Attendees at the Boise event can add an optional Community School visit on Nov. 3. Secure your place now at either event.
This year’s keynote speaker for the Boise event is White House and National School Board Association-recognized author and educator Todd Nesloney, and the Coeur d’Alene event will hear from award-winning educator Hamish Brewer.
Professional development credits for the conference will be made available from Northwest Nazarene University. Please contact Jill Mathews (jmathews@sde.idaho.gov) with any questions.
