Skyline, West Side lead in High School Football Preseason Media Polls

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - A pair of local repeat champions pace their respective fields going into the 2022 season, as the back-to-back champion Skyline Grizzlies top 4A and the three-time defending champion West Side Pirates lead 2A.

Pocatello and Blackfoot round out the local 4A teams in 3rd and 4th, respectively, and in 2A, Firth and North Fremont each received a first-place vote while slotting into 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

A loaded Rocky Mountain team topped Rigby and Highland in 5A, as the Trojans took 2nd and the Rams are in 3rd.

Sugar-Salem fell just three points short of the top spot in 3A, but the Diggers grab 2nd, while Snake River rounds out the poll in 5th.

In the 1A class, Butte County is 3rd in the 1AD1 poll and Rockland takes 4th in 1AD2.
