KIFI

One weak front is passing by to our northeast this evening, leading to a breezy environment. We’ll see some hot temperatures ahead of a late Wednesday cold front. As this front draws closer, we pull in warmer air from the southwest. Record or near record high temperatures are possible through Wednesday with afternoon temperatures 20-25 degrees above normal.

Overnight, partly cloudy with a low temperature in the upper 40’s for the Snake River Plain. Winds will be out of the southwest around 15 to 20 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Sunny and hot for Tuesday with high temperatures in the upper 80’s to the lower 90’s. Light and variable wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. There is a low risk of isolated thunderstorms.

A windy Wednesday, as a cold front moves through later in the day. Mostly sunny skies, with a high near 90°. Breezy, with winds becoming south-southwest around 20 to 30 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms, with more scattered storms with cooler temperatures expected for Thursday.
