Fall River Electric named to Idaho Private 100 for fourth consecutive year

ASHTON, Idaho (KIFI) — Fall River Electric Cooperative has been named for the fourth year in a row to the Top 100 privately owned companies headquartered in Idaho.

The recent recognition came about as part of Nerus Strategies’ annual survey of top performing privately held Idaho-based companies as compiled by the international accounting firm KPMG.

Fall River Electric was ranked #78, up five spots from last year. It is the only privately owned electric utility listed in the Top 100.

“Our continued focus on exceptional customer service to our owner-members is a key contributing factor to our growth," Fall River Electric’s CEO/General Manager Bryan Case said. "Our Cooperative has seen remarkable growth in our equity due in part to our board’s focus and our staff’s excellent work in controlling costs.”

Fall River Electric was one of 12 privately owned companies based in east Idaho that made the list this year.

The top five companies were Simplot, WinCo, Jackson Foods, Kendall Auto Group and Woodgrain.

The top east Idaho company was Melaleuca at number six, and the other east Idaho companies that earned a spot in the Top 100 were North Wind Group, Potandon, Smith Chevrolet, Kingston and Valley Office all of Idaho Falls, along with Headwaters Construction of Rexburg, Heartland Pharmacy in Ammon, Health West of Pocatello and Premier Technology and Title Financial both of Blackfoot.
