Car crashes through store window

One person was slightly injured when a Jeep Grand Cherokeecrashed through the front window of the Stinker Convenience Store and McDonald’s Restaurant at 1485 West Broadway in Idaho Falls at around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. The injured person was inside the store at the time of the crash.

Idaho Falls Police said the driver, 37-year-old Heather Christensen, had her foot on the brake while she reached down for a shoe. They said her foot slid off the brake and hit the accelerator, which sent the car crashing through the window.

Christensen was cited for inattentive driving and failure to provide insurance. An exact estimate of damage was not available.
