3 things to know this morning – October 25, 2023
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Wednesday.
1. Idaho is among 33 states suing Facebook and Instagram's parent company Meta. The states allege Meta's products have harmed young users' mental health with its addictive features such as infinite news feeds and frequent notifications and that Instagram has contributed to a mental health crisis in the United States.
2. The Idaho Falls Animal Shelter is dealing with more cases of the Parvo virus in dogs. It is a very contagious virus that can attack a pet's gastrointestinal tract, and if not treated in time, can result in death. They are reminding all pet owners to make sure their pets are properly vaccinated.
3. Irrigation canals in our area are starting to drain for the season. So from now through November 30th, Idaho Fish and Game has issued a fish salvage order. With a valid fishing license, you can catch fish by any means without using a gun, explosives, chemicals, or electrical current. There are no bag or size limits, but there are some special rules Fish and Game want you to follow.
