Fremont County prosecutor Lindsay Blake took nearly 3 hours to convince the jury Chad Daybell is guilty of first-degree murder, insurance fraud, and conspiracy to commit murder and grand theft in connection with the deaths of his late wife Tammy Daybell, 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow, and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan.
Defense lawyer, John Prior, presented his case for nearly 90 minutes.
The prosecution will get a chance to rebut before it is given to the jury to deliberate.
His current wife, Lori Vallow-Daybell, was found guilty of similar charges in May 2023. She received a life sentence without parole for the killings.
Prosecutors said they will seek the death penalty if Chad Daybell is convicted.
