Second day of Simplot Games kicks off with star-studded breakfast

Rebounding is a big part of many team’s gameplans. Some think that, if you win the rebound battle, you’ll win the game. Tyson Sweetwood of Hillcrest High School dominated the glass this past weekend versus Idaho Falls. In Friday’s (2/7) game versus the Tigers, the Junior snagged 21 rebounds, setting the unofficial single-game rebound record for the Knights. Why is it unofficial? Well, the record books only go back so far.

Sermon Service & Electric Student Athlete of the Week – Dawson Jackman – February 5, 2025

Dawson Jackman is a senior on the Snake River Panthers basketball team. This past week, Jackman had some impressive performances on the court. On Thursday, January 30th, the senior dropped 19 points and swiped 6 steals in a win over Bear Lake. On Saturday, February 1st, he drained 7 three-pointers, and racked up 29 points, with 16 of them coming in the first quarter.

Blackfoot bests Bonneville in 5A clash

The Bees and the Broncos met at Bonneville tonight for a conference match-up. Bonneville entered this one at 3 wins and 0 losses in conference play, with a 7-3 record on the season. For Blackfoot, they came in 4-4 on the year, but 2-0 in conference play. Right before halftime, Blackfoot’s Chet Hyde splashed home a floater that would give the Broncos a 4 point lead headed into the break.
