Everyone is safe after a fire at Motor Vu Drive-In over the weekend. Motor Vu staff had to pause the movie early Saturday morning after a small kitchen fire broke out during the showing of How to Train Your Dragon.

Motor Vu says that the fire department responded quickly and was able to give the all clear. Business was back to normal for Saturday and Sunday night showings.

“[My friend] wrapped these poor lifeless babies in her work uniform and I gave her a box to bury them in,” the post says.

The driver accused of causing a drunk driving accident that killed six people last May has changed his plea. Luis Garcia-Diaz, 27, of Rexburg, appeared in court Tuesday, June 10, 2025, to formally alter his plea, pleading guilty to 2 counts of vehicular manslaughter, after signing an initial agreement on May 7, 2025.

Main Street in Inkom will be closed for two nights due to bridge demolition. This is the first part of the Inkom Corridor Project that includes demolition and reconstruction of three bridges.

The Main Street closure will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 11, weather permitting.  Bridge demolition will produce a considerable amount of noise.

Crews with the Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP) have completed the demolition of the high bay roof and walls of the Submarine 1st Generation Westinghouse (S1W) naval reactor prototype plant, using explosives to carry out this key phase of work. The effort, overseen by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management (EM) and ICP contractor Idaho Environmental Coalition (IEC), marks significant progress in reducing the footprint at the Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) located on the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) Site.
